At the end of April, Kunsthal Aarhus presents this year’s graduation exhibition from Det Jyske Kunstakademi, featuring works by Fie Hansigne, Carl Otto Linde, and Ulf Stubbe Teglbjærg.
Under the exhibition title Ooze, the graduates explore the transition from the academy’s safe framework into professional life – a gradual, shaping movement marked by curiosity, vulnerability, and courage. The works carry traces of previous practices as they step into new territories and question inherited structures.
Oozing out of the safety of the school, the artists face both culmination and threshold. The exhibition embraces this ambivalence: insistence, uncertainty, and momentum. What seeps out is not only material but also intention, imagination, and conviction
