Mong Tong is a Taiwanese psychedelic music band formed by brothers Hom Yu and Jiun Chi. The name "Mong Tong" refers to the brothers' childhood nickname. Mong Tong's music is heavily influenced by Southeast Asian culture, including its mythology and folklore, as well as the psychedelic music of the 60s and 70s. Their sound is characterised by hypnotic rhythms, dreamy melodies and an otherworldly atmosphere. Mong Tong has been described as part of a new wave of Taiwanese music that draws on the country's rich cultural heritage while challenging boundaries and exploring new sonic territories.

Maya Ongaku originates from the coastal community of Enoshima, a small island located 50 kilometres southwest of Tokyo. Their grounded psychedelic music reaches far beyond the roots of their inner souls. The name is not derived from any form of ancient civilisation, but rather from a neologism defined as the imagined view beyond one's field of vision.
The band, currently consisting of Tsutomu Sonoda, Ryota Takano and Shoei Ikeda, takes refuge in the Ace General Store, a beachy vintage shop and salon-like space hidden from the busy, touristy Subana Street in Tokyo. Between conversations about music and art, curating the vinyl section and operating the cash register, and chatting with locals, the members find time to jam and record their spontaneous ideas.
