On Friday, December 5, we open Searching Through the Dark and the Light by artist Ursula Nistrup – the last exhibition of the year at Kunsthal Aarhus.
Step into a sensory world of sound, sculpture, and storytelling, where hopeful light and disturbing darkness merge into one large installation. The exhibition invites you to experience the world anew – at a time when nature is changing and we are searching for new ways to understand it.
At the heart of the exhibition lies a fictional story, developed in collaboration with author Ida Marie Hede, about a species of butterfly that mutates to survive in a changing world. The narrative is accompanied by a musical landscape featuring contributions from artists including Lis Sørensen, JOMI, Xenia Xamanek, and many more.
All of this comes together in one immersive experience – step inside Ursula Nistrup’s tactile twilight zone.
